Five Years!?

In all our tromping around Kentucky and Virginia the last few days, we failed to recognize an important milestone: Five years ago we arrived for the first time as a family in Kosice.  We didn’t know what we were jumping into back then… and we still don’t always know what God’s up to. But we’re just as sure now as we were back then that God has been leading us at every step!

Some observations on this anniversary as we’re traveling in the U.S. this summer:

– We’re so privileged to be on this journey with so many others who make it possible by supporting us – through prayers, through financial contributions, through encouragement. They might not have set foot in Slovakia (yet), but their faithfulness is touching lives!

– We’re privileged to have partners who are also FRIENDS, and it’s been a joy to catch up with so many of you so far this summer!

– Staying with friends is SO much more fun than staying in hotels!

We’re grateful to you for your partnership with us, and we’re excited to see what God has in store in the next five years!

  1. Thank you for your posts, and for keeping us informed on your ministry. I, with four others from First Baptist, Richmond, just came back from Slovakia. We taught English to some of the children in Ruzomberok for one week, and then three of us stayed to help with the work with the Roma children. There are on-going clubs for the children during the school year. It was a joy to meet them and spend time with them.
