Thursday Snapshot – Farewell Cards

This morning we had a sweet farewell with the kids from the Roma school in Kosice, where we’ve gone each week to teach English with kindergartners and first graders. We gave them diplomas and congratulated them on a great year of learning.  They surprised us with a pile of sweet thank you cards – they’re beautiful!  Through your prayers and support you’ve made it possible for us to be in this classroom every week, teaching English and sharing God’s love through word and song.  So even though they didn’t know it, these kids were thanking YOU too!

The insides of the cards say, “Thank you for your love, for your friendship, singing, clothes, books and smiles!”  (The clothes and books were provided for these students during the spring by some of our generous partners).

Here's the stack of cards we received - about 30 of them all together!

Many of the cards had drawings of us - that's Jon with the guitar, and Tanya showing flashcards.

One of many examples of just how artistic these little ones are.
